Commercial Coffee & Tea Brewers in Toronto & Canada
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions we hear from operators.
How many cups of coffee can a commercial coffee brewer make per hour?
It depends heavily on whether the brewer is pour-over or plumbed-in. A pour-over model like Bunn's VP17 or CW15 series is filled by hand each cycle, so it's sized for lower-volume counters rather than a rated cups-per-hour figure. Once you move to a plumbed-in brewer, output climbs fast: the AXIOM series brews roughly 67 to 120 cups an hour depending on voltage, the Infusion series (ICB) ranges from about 82 cups an hour up to 280 cups an hour on twin units, and the Titan series tops out at 360 cups an hour on a single brewer and 549 cups an hour on the Titan Dual — built for the busiest banquet halls and high-traffic restaurants. Match the brewer to your peak-hour demand rather than your daily average, so you're never caught short during a rush.
Can a Bunn coffee brewer make tea too?
Yes — many of our Bunn brewers include a hot water tap built in, which is meant for tea, oatmeal, and other instant hot drinks alongside regular coffee brewing, so a single machine can cover both. If tea is a bigger part of your service, the Bunn ITCB Infusion Series Coffee & Tea Brewer takes it a step further: it's built specifically for both, with a stainless steel funnel for coffee and a separate plastic funnel for tea, plus a tray sized to fit airpots, tea dispensers, and insulated carafes. Either way, you don't need a separate machine just to serve hot tea alongside your coffee program.
Does a commercial coffee brewer come with a decanter, carafe, or airpot?
No — on nearly every Bunn brewer in this collection, the pot is sold separately from the machine. A decanter-style brewer needs a standard glass or stainless decanter, a thermal carafe brewer needs an insulated carafe, and an airpot brewer needs an insulated airpot, typically in the 1.9L to 3.8L range depending on the model — none of these ship in the box. We stock Bunn's own decanters, thermal carafes, and decanter filters alongside the brewers themselves, so it's easy to add the matching pot, or a spare, to the same order instead of discovering it's missing once the brewer arrives.
