View full detailsChopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables by hand slows down a busy line, and our Food Processors collection covers the machines that take that work off your prep cooks. Almost all of our lineup is Robot Coupe, the industry standard in commercial food processing, across three formats — bowl cutter and combination units, like the R-Series and R2/R301/R401/R502/R702, for everyday chopping, pureeing, and disc-slicing; continuous-feed machines, the CL-Series, that slice and dice by the pound instead of the batch, up to 66 lbs a minute; and BLIXER vertical cutter mixers, built for pureeing and emulsifying bigger batches of sauces, mousses, and fillings. Hobart adds its own continuous-feed FP-Series and bowl-style processors, Waring and Omcan cover combination bowl cutter/processor units in the mid-range, and Hamilton Beach offers a culinary blender-processor hybrid for a smaller kitchen. Need hand-powered prep instead? Our Manual Vegetable Slicers collection covers fries, onion rings, and tomato slices without a motor. Whether you're outfitting a restaurant in Toronto, a catering kitchen in Mississauga, or a commissary right here in Vaughan, we ship food processors across the GTA — Markham and Hamilton included — and nationwide across Canada.
Common questions we hear from operators.
A bowl cutter chops, purees, and mixes product in a stationary bowl with a rotating blade — good for pâtés, dips, and other batch prep. A combination food processor adds a feed tube and interchangeable discs on top of that same bowl, so it also slices, dices, and grates — most of our Robot Coupe R-Series and Waring and Omcan combination units work this way. A continuous-feed food processor skips the bowl and slices or dices product straight through a feed head into a pan below instead, built for higher volume — our Robot Coupe CL-Series and Hobart FP-Series are both rated by pounds processed per minute rather than bowl capacity. We carry all three formats, so you can match the machine to how your prep actually happens.
Interchangeable discs swap onto a combination food processor's feed tube to change what happens to the product passing through it — a slicing disc cuts even rounds, a grater disc shreds cheese or vegetables, and a julienne disc cuts thin matchsticks for slaws and stir-fries, with dicing grid kits and French fry grids available for a finished cut in a single pass. Our Robot Coupe Essential and Expert Series both offer a full range of these discs and grid kits sold separately, so you can add capability to a unit you already own instead of buying a second machine. We stock Robot Coupe discs and grids sized for our full food processor lineup.
Bowl cutter and combination units are sized by bowl capacity, running from a compact 2-quart Robot Coupe R101 up to a 63-quart BLIXER for a commissary batching large runs of sauce or filling. Continuous-feed machines are sized differently, by production rate — our lineup runs from a 7 lbs/minute Robot Coupe CL40 up to an 88 lbs/minute Hobart FP400i for high-volume slicing and dicing. A small restaurant or cafe usually does fine with a 2 to 4-quart bowl unit, while a caterer, commissary, or high-volume kitchen should look at either a larger bowl size or a continuous-feed machine instead. We carry food processors across that full range from Robot Coupe, Hobart, Waring, and Omcan.
