Gelato & Ice Cream Machines

Commercial Gelato, Ice Cream & Soft Serve Machines in Toronto & Canada

Making ice cream and gelato in-house takes a different machine than just keeping it on display, and our Gelato & Ice Cream Machines collection covers both batch freezers and soft serve machines built for that job. A batch freezer churns a liquid mix into finished, scoopable ice cream or gelato — our Eurodib CREA batch freezers run from 7 to 18 L/HR output, while Waring countertop makers and SaniServ batch freezers cover smaller 2 to 10 quart batches, a good fit for a lower-volume gelato or ice cream program. A soft serve machine instead freezes and dispenses continuously straight into a cone or cup. Most of our soft serve lineup comes from Gel Matic, spanning single-flavour machines up to a triple-flavour, two-twist unit for a busy self-serve counter, alongside Elmeco's single-flavour soft serve machine. Need a case to display and scoop finished gelato instead? Our Gelato & Ice Cream Dipping Freezers collection covers that. Whether you're opening a gelato shop in Toronto, an ice cream counter in Mississauga, or a cafe right here in Vaughan, we ship ice cream and gelato machines across the GTA — Markham and Hamilton included — and nationwide across Canada.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions we hear from operators.

What's the difference between a batch freezer and a soft serve machine?

A batch freezer, like our Eurodib CREA series or our SaniServ B5-SAN and B10-SAN, freezes a liquid mix in a chilled cylinder and turns out a finished batch of scoopable ice cream or gelato that gets transferred to a dipping cabinet or storage tub. A soft serve machine, like our Gel Matic and Elmeco lineup, freezes and dispenses continuously instead, so product goes straight from the machine into a cone or cup with no separate scooping step. We carry both styles, so you can match the machine to whether you're serving scooped or soft serve product.

What's the difference between a gravity-fed and a pump-fed soft serve machine?

A gravity-fed soft serve machine relies on gravity alone to move mix from the hopper into the freezing cylinder — a simpler build that suits a lower-volume counter. A pump-fed machine uses a pump instead, which pushes mix through faster and whips in more air, giving a smoother texture and higher output. Our Gel Matic BC 250 PM, for example, puts out nearly 80 LBS/HR compared to about 57 LBS/HR on the equivalent BC 250 GR gravity-fed model. We carry both gravity-fed (GR) and pump-fed (PM) versions across the Gel Matic lineup, so you can match the machine to your volume.

How many flavours can a soft serve machine make at once?

Most soft serve machines run one, two, or three flavours at a time, depending on how many hoppers and freezing cylinders they have. A single-flavour machine, like our Elmeco QK1 or the Gel Matic SC EASY 1, suits a lower-volume counter running one flavour. A double-flavour machine adds a "twist" setting that blends both flavours together for a third option, and our Gel Matic ETOILE GEL PLUS goes further still, with three flavours and two twist settings for a busy self-serve program. We carry the full range, so you can match flavour count to your menu.
