Back Bar Coolers

Commercial Back Bar Coolers & Bar Fridges in Toronto & Canada

Keep bottled beer, mixers, and wine within arm's reach of the bartender with Phoenix Food Equipment's Back Bar Coolers collection. Choose a shallow depth commercial bar fridge that tucks under a narrow bar top, or a standard depth unit that holds more stock for a busy service well — then pick solid doors, glass swing doors, or glass sliding doors depending on how much room you have behind the counter. Most of our lineup comes from Nordic Air, our proprietary line, in both shallow and deep models from 24 to 90 inches wide, alongside budget-friendly Duracold coolers and Atosa SBB shallow and MBB standard-depth series. EFI adds stainless steel coolers with a glass sliding door option, while True Refrigeration covers the premium end with black or stainless finishes and tighter temperature control. Need a kegerator or a bottle cooler instead? Our Beer Dispensing Coolers and Horizontal Bottle Coolers collections cover the rest of the bar. Whether you're opening a bar in Toronto, a pub in Mississauga, or a restaurant right here in Vaughan, we ship commercial bar fridges across the GTA — Markham and Hamilton included — and nationwide across Canada.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from operators buying this kind of equipment.

What's the difference between a shallow and a standard depth back bar cooler?

A shallow back bar cooler has a reduced front-to-back depth, so it fits under a tighter bar top without crowding the walkway behind the bar — useful in an older building or a narrow service well. A standard depth unit is deeper, so it holds noticeably more stock per door for a high-volume bar. Phoenix Food Equipment carries both depths across most of our lineup: look for Atosa's SBB series and True Refrigeration's TBB24 series on the shallow side, and their MBB and TBB series at standard depth, with Nordic Air offering shallow and deep models in matching widths.

Should I get solid or glass doors on a back bar cooler?

Glass doors let bartenders see what's stocked without opening the door, which speeds up service and doubles as merchandising for bottled beer. Solid doors hold temperature better and cost less to run, which suits a cooler that gets opened constantly through a rush or sits out of a customer's view. Most of our back bar coolers come in both styles, and Nordic Air and EFI also offer glass sliding doors, for a bar where there isn't room behind the counter for a door to swing open.

How many doors do I need on a back bar cooler?

Door count comes down to your bar's bottle and keg volume and how much wall space you have behind the bar. A single door back bar cooler (23 to 36 inches in our lineup) suits a small service well or a secondary cooler, a double door unit (36 to 69 inches) covers most mid-size bars and restaurants, and a triple door cooler (53 to 90 inches) gives a high-volume bar or nightclub enough capacity to get through a rush without restocking mid-shift. Phoenix Food Equipment carries single, double, and triple door back bar coolers across our full brand lineup, so you can match the width to your bar length.
