What size air curtain do I need for a restaurant door?

As a general rule, an air curtain should span the full width of the doorway, so measure the opening first, then check the door height. The Curtron S-CFD, S-IBD and Curtron S-LP Series Low Profile Air Curtain are all suitable for doors up to 10' high, while the MCS-Series comes in 3, 4 and 6 foot lengths for narrower openings. For wider doors you can add motors: the S-CFD is available with one to four, the S-IBD with one to three, and the S-LP with one or two. What is the difference between a front door and a back door air curtain?

The S-CFD front door series has a 1/2 HP two-speed motor with a high/off/low selector switch and is NSF certified, with a heated version, the Curtron S-CFD Series Front Door Electric Heated Air Curtain. The S-IBD insect back door series uses a 3/4 HP single-speed motor, is USDA and FDA recommended, and comes in stainless steel or the Curtron S-IBD Series Insect Back Door Aluminum Air Curtain.
