Bar Drainboards

Bar Drainboards in Toronto & Canada

A bar drainboard gives washed glasses and tools somewhere to drain before they're put away, instead of stacking wet glassware straight onto the counter. BK Resources' UB4-DB series bolts onto either side of an existing bar sink, so you can add drainboard space to a run that didn't come with one, or extend a tight setup for a busy shift — a corner unit is also available for an L-shaped counter. No matter where you're located — a nightclub in Toronto, a hotel bar in Mississauga, or right here in Vaughan — Phoenix Food Equipment gets bar drainboards to you across the GTA and nationwide across Canada.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions we hear from operators.

Do I need a separate drainboard if my bar sink already has one?

Not always. Plenty of BK Resources bar sinks ship with a built-in drainboard on one or both sides, but plenty of others don't, and even a sink that came with one can run out of room during a busy shift when glasses pile up faster than they're put away. A standalone unit like the BK Resources UB4-DB18 bolts onto the open end of an existing sink, or onto a run of stainless tables and equipment, to add drying space without replacing anything already installed. It's also the fix when a sink's original drainboard gets dented or worn out and only that piece needs swapping, not the whole sink.

What size bar drainboard do I need?

It comes down to how much counter run you have and how many glasses need to sit at once. A 12-inch unit like the BK Resources UB4-DB12 suits a tight service bar or a spot beside a single-compartment sink, a 24-inch drainboard such as the BK Resources UB4-DB24 fits most standard bar sink runs, and the 48-inch BK Resources UB4-DB48 covers a high-volume bar where several bartenders are washing glassware during the same rush. If your counter turns a corner instead of running straight, the BK Resources UB4-CDB Series Corner Bar Drainboard is built specifically for that layout.

What is a corner bar drainboard used for?

A corner bar drainboard fills the L-shaped gap where two counter runs meet, giving that awkward corner section a flat, drainable surface instead of leaving it as dead space or forcing a straight drainboard to overhang the turn. It's most useful on wrap-around or horseshoe-shaped bars, where a straight 12- to 48-inch unit simply won't sit flush against the angle. Like the rest of the UB4-DB series, it matches the depth of a BK Resources bar sink run, so it sits level with the sinks and drainboards on either side of it rather than creating a mismatched step in the counter.
