Beverage Cooling

Commercial Beverage Cooling in Toronto & Canada

Keep drinks cold and ice flowing with Phoenix Food Equipment's Beverage Cooling collection. We stock modular and undercounter ice machines in cube, bullet, and flake styles, plus ice storage bins and ice dispensers for hotels, bars, and self-serve counters. Elmeco slushie and frozen smoothie machines cover frozen drink and granita programs, and the same Elmeco line makes single-flavour soft serve machines for a simple ice cream add-on. Round out the lineup with water filters to protect your ice machine or beverage dispenser from scale and off-tastes, and refrigerated cold drink dispensers for juice, iced tea, and other bulk beverages. Nordic Air and Atosa supply most of our ice machines, from a small 55 lb/day countertop unit up to 500+ lb/day production models for high-volume bars and restaurants. Whether you're setting up a bar in Toronto, a hotel lobby in Vaughan, a restaurant in Mississauga or Markham, or a kitchen elsewhere in the GTA or across Canada, we stock sizes to match daily ice and drink demand without a long wait for shipping.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions we hear from operators.

What's the difference between an ice machine and an ice dispenser?

An ice machine makes ice on demand from its own built-in or connected bin, usually behind the bar or in the kitchen. An ice dispenser, like the ones used in hotel corridors or self-serve areas, stores a batch of pre-made ice and lets guests dispense it themselves, sometimes with a chilled water tap built in. We carry Nordic Air ice machines and Atosa ice dispensers, so you can pick the setup that matches how guests actually access the ice.

How does a commercial slushie machine work?

A slushie machine constantly churns a sugar-and-water (or juice) mix while it's chilled, keeping ice crystals small so the drink stays a pourable slush instead of freezing solid. We carry Elmeco slushie and frozen smoothie machines in single, double, and triple bowl configurations, so you can run one flavour or several side by side.

Why do commercial ice machines and beverage dispensers need a water filter?

A water filter removes sediment, chlorine taste, and scale-causing minerals before water reaches the ice machine or dispenser, which keeps ice clear and odor-free and protects the machine's internal components from mineral buildup. Skipping a filter is one of the most common reasons an ice machine underperforms or needs early repairs. We stock water filters sized for our ice machines and beverage equipment.
