The Chute Magnetic Flatware Catchers in Toronto & Canada
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions we hear from operators.
How does The Chute magnetic flatware catcher work?
The Chute sits on top of your garbage bin like a lid. When staff scrape plates into the opening, strong, long lasting magnets catch the flatware and hold it securely until someone removes it, so forks, knives, and spoons don't end up in the trash. The lid is made from high impact plastic that's heat and chemical resistant and dishwasher safe. It only works with magnetic utensils, so it's worth testing your flatware with a magnet first. If you have questions, contact us and we'll help.
Which The Chute lid fits my garbage bin?
The Chute Jr. fits most 23 gallon rectangular waste containers, including slim bins, and The Chute II fits most 32 and 44 gallon waste containers. Both lids use the same magnetic design and work with magnetic flatware only. Since bin openings can vary between makers, measure the top of your container before you order. If you're not sure which size fits, contact us with your bin's make and size and we'll help you choose.
