Star Griddles, Panini Grills & Countertop Fryers in Toronto & Canada

Star Manufacturing was founded in 1921 in St. Louis, Missouri, and it now builds its equipment in Smithville, Tennessee as part of the Middleby Corporation. It makes griddles, charbroilers, hot plates, fryers, panini grills, toasters, and hot dog equipment, all made in the USA. Why choose Star over a brand like Vulcan? Star's heavy duty Star-Max line is built for high volume countertop cooking, and Star-Max griddles and fryers carry a 2 year parts and labour warranty through the manufacturer, which covers Canada. Pro-Max panini grills carry 1 year. One standout is the Star-Max 524TGF Electric 24 Inch Griddle. It has a 1 inch thick polished steel plate that resists warping as it heats and cools, snap action thermostats from 150°F to 450°F, and a wide grease trough. We also carry the Star Pro-Max PST14D Split Top Panini Grill, plus countertop fryers and gas griddles and charbroilers. The 24, 36, and 48 inch electric griddles are quick ship, while other models have an estimated lead time of 2-4 weeks. Phoenix Food Equipment ships Star from Vaughan across Toronto, the GTA, and the rest of Canada and the USA.

Where are Star products made?

Star products are made in the USA. Star Manufacturing was founded in 1921 in St. Louis, Missouri, and it builds its equipment in Smithville, Tennessee as part of the Middleby Corporation. Every Star griddle, fryer, charbroiler, and panini grill we carry is UL certified. If you have questions about a specific model, contact us with the model number and we'll help.

Should I choose a flat or ribbed Star panini grill?

A flat plate, like the PST14, gives even contact across the whole sandwich and also works for quesadillas, wraps, and eggs. A ribbed plate, like the PGT14, leaves grill marks for a classic panini look and lets grease run off. The split top PST14D and PGT14D models have two top plates with separate temperature controls and timers, so you can cook two items at once. If you're not sure which fits your menu, contact us and we'll help you compare options.
